New Wall

New Wall - New Logo

Tonight I painted a stucco wall in my studio. I went to Home Depo to pick up some venetian plaster. The nice man behind the counter took a long time to explain to me just how to use it correctly. Well, I'm not much about using anything correctly - especially when it comes to artistic expression. So, I thanked him and went on my way. I came home and broke every rule in the book... and I like it.

Mother's Day

The other day my daughter had a video on of her as a baby with my Grandma who has been gone now for about 10 years. I watched the video - through teary eyes and thought of how precious those moments were. I have many snapshots and videos of those days - but oh, I wish I had a beautiful wall portrait or a gorgeous, timeless collection to keep of those times.

Pictures of your children with their grandparents will be cherished forever. Both are changing at a rapid rate. Children grow into adults and Grandparents move on to their eternal destinations. So often we think of giving pictures of our children to our parents - how about giving pictures of our children with our parents to both generations - and save some for yourself!

Friday Night

Wow - what a busy week! The South East Professional Photographers of America conference was awesome. I was able to see Monica Sigmon for the 2nd time. I find her photography and style completely inspiring and her marketing tips are second to none. Mitche Graf was great on marketing too and I went to a very interesting photoshop presentation by Eddie Tapp. It's so fun to learn from the pro pro's!

I've been doing the mom thing since I've been back. Tom went off on a business trip as soon as I returned and between tax day, a daughter's birthday and taxi driving duties along with photo processing and some shoots, I'm feeling quite bushed - AND fulfilled. Tonight my husband returns home and my parents follow tomorrow soon on his heels. So, I sit here on a Friday night with my feet up in my recliner and my computer on my lap while my children watch Pirate of the Carribean Part 2. Oh, life is good.:)

Back from SEPPA

I'm back from the SEPPA conference. What a great time to fellowship with photographers from the southern states! I enjoyed great presentations by Mitche Graf, Monica Sigmon and Joseph and Louis Simone who were highly inspiritational. Can't wait to apply some of my new ideas!

Easter Darling

There is nothing cuter than a little girl in a bunch of tulips! Sweet...

Creating a New Blog

This is my blog where I am going to post all that I am doing. Because I have my hands in Dance Photography, family/portrait photography and senior photography, I've decided to have different blogs for each of them. But to keep matters simple - it's all going on here. So stay tuned and enjoy the ride.
