Headshots

I often get asked if I do head shots. Yes, I do. Small business owners, corporate people, realtors, etc need images for their websites, etc. The great thing about doing these images is that you get to know a fellow business owner and get to find out what they are doing. Here's an example.

This is Denise. She owns a company called Interior Concepts."Pairing Tasteful Designs with Your Lifestyle" located in Raleigh. www.intconcepts.net She has exquisite taste and enjoys designing interiors as well as staging homes for sale.

Denise and her husband Michael came to me at Christmas to be photographed after purchasing a gift card to help our church build out their children's department. We had a great time at our session and even were able to photograph them with the "real" Santa and Mrs. Clause. Such fun!

Denise is one of many decorators that has been asked to decorate the Spring 08 Hassentree Showcase Home. The benefits from this project go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Check it out - should be a great opportunity to see a beautifully decorated house and bid on some items that will bring joy to your home and benefit a very important cause. Another Cutie

Babies are just so cute!!! From the time I was a child I loved babies. Always a sucker for a cute face, I used to race around after church every Sunday to get to the babies before anyone else could hold them. They have beautiful big eyes and coo and cuddle and smell so good...most of the time. I just love babies. (I love baby animals too).

I'm always delighted when I get the opportunity to photograph babies because they give a myriad of emotions in a very short time. We can dress them up, or dress them down and get the best images. When our children are babies, we think we will remember the expressions, the little cute things they say and the funny things they do. Unfortunately, life is so busy and it passes so quickly. Before we know it, our children are entering High School and soon to move on to college. I remember thinking those early years would never pass (especially with my first colicky baby who didn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time for her first year of life). Well, those years passed very quickly, and while I don't think I'm any older, one look at my children show the undeniable fact that we are all aging and life doesn't stay the same for any of us. I'm so glad we have opportunities to hold on to those moments.

Here's a cute little love bug that I've been photographing since her beginning. Such a little cutie! This session was a bit different, now that she's nearing the 10 month mark, everything seemed a bit strange to her but we managed to get some adorable images.

A little jaunt to Williamsburg

This weekend I did an on-location portrait session in Williamsburg - what fun we had! Lots of great family pictures came out of the session but here's one of the 2 youngest in the families session. Matt over here is a singer/musician in a band so we caught a quick session right before the rain in the graveyard by the church. An elderly gentleman from the church wanted to make sure that we got a good picture of the skull!
